Much too detailed for my taste. Found myself skimming through much of the book.

This book is very intense and wrought with fierce detective work and horrifying detail about the serial killer's torturous methods. It was compelling, but also a bit dark and graphic for my personal tastes.

YAWN!!!!! Maybe it's time to stop reading this series. This one was the same old, same old, same old, SAME OLD!!! Very disappointing.

Loved the book-JD Robb never fails to deliver. Plot was dark as usual but Eve Dallas along with Roarke always saves the day.

Eve frantically tries to find and stop a serial killer before time runs out for his next victim. With practically the entire police force at her disposal, the hunt is fast and furious. The killer has captured his latest victim, whom he tortures with various means of pain; heat, cold, sharp, dull. He 'works', then rests, then continues his 'work', enjoying their pain. The final gift he gives them is of death, and he carves the amount of time they survived into their body before he strategically places them in pose to be found. This time around, there is a connection- the latest victims work for one of Roarke's enterprises. But that is not the only connection, or his goal. His goal is to make Eve his final masterpiece and victim.
