"Don't judge a book by its cover". That is surley the case with this copy of the book and the picture on the cover. There is nothing similar. I did read the whole book and could keep the 3 main women separated, no problem there. I did learn something about these special women. I knew 3 European WWll war brides in my younger years. I don't know, this story was... it's hard to put into words. I guess not a book I will recommend to friends.

I've read many "war bride" novels; this one is really good. Enjoyed the characters and story line.

I actually read War Brides by Helen Bryan but it wasn't listed. It was an excellent read about several women on the homefront during WWII.
