my first book read by this author and I sure as hope this is not the norm...it was TERRIBLE this author came highly recommended and it wasn't even worth reading it all the way through. Terrible writing, terrible organization of the characters I could go on but it was just so bad.
no way ugh
Badly written rubbish. I can't believe Robb (Roberts) actually wrote this, and I suspect ghost writers were involved and not very good ones. Roberts should be ashamed to put her name on this junk. She has destroyed what used to be a good and intersting series. Seems that the ghost writers just crank them out for quick money. I read it to the end just to see how bad it would be. Its the last one I will read.
I enjoy reading these JD Robb books. They are a quick, entertaining read. I'm thinking Crack might have a bit more play in the future - that would be interesting :)
I enjoyed this installment of Dallas and Roarke. My favorite still in all 48 books -- like many of the characters in the story - is the Icove Agenda, but this one was good too. I did miss the other characters being involved a little more, but as one review stated: 'This is a comfort read". It's like keeping track of 'family'.
Better than the last but still not very good. Move on to a new character or add some life to this one, these books are becoming money factories for the author and are not meant to satisfy the reader.
Yawn. Roberts seems bored with the characters, the last few books have been a total bore.
I have read all of the Eve Dallas books, and particularly enjoy reading about the lives of the characters.
This book, however, was lacklustre: the plot was thin, and I was bored through most of it. Too little mention of Peabody, McNab, and the other supporting characters I have come to love.
I've read all of this series and this one lacked the excitement of some of the previous story lines. The overall story line was flat and the characters not as vivid and multi-dimensional as before.
